Generally symbolic of love, happiness, wealth, romance, and beauty, the peony is traditionally given on special occasions as an expression of goodwill, best wishes, and joy.  This Belleek flower is one of the most detailed in our collection, with its feathered edges and delicate layers, it has taken a long time for our craftspeople to develop and perfect.  Painted in mother of pearl and then sponged at the edges with a subtle coral colour, it truly reflects the beauty of the Peony.
