About the Symbolism

The infinity loop symbolizes the eternal love between Jamie and Claire—endless and unbroken through time.

The thistle has been Scotland’s national symbol since 1263. Legend has it that a Viking invader, stepping on a thistle, alerted the Scots to the approaching enemy at the Battle of Largs, helping to end the Norse invasions.

Roses have long been heraldic symbols in England, with the Tudor Rose serving as the national flower since the Tudor era. The rose also represents a beautiful and fair lady, making it a perfect emblem for Claire.
